Reds Opening Day 2027 with a group staying in Cincinnati

Outdoor dining tables at the Victorian Estate in East Walnut Hills

The Reds' 2027 home opener is scheduled for Thursday, March 25, against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park. The first-pitch time has yet to be set. Great American Ball Park is about 6 minutes away by car from our East Walnut Hills houses, giving a family or friend group Cincinnati lodging for an Opening Day stay.

Baseball's current labor agreement expires December 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. The 2027 baseball dates are subject to change, so keep the opener in your plans with room for official updates. The Findlay Market Opening Day Parade's 2027 date and time also have yet to be posted.

Our guests come for Reds games, and some groups want time together around the outing. The stays page shows our three houses, all with private apartments inside a whole-house booking. That layout can suit relatives who want their own kitchen and living space during a shared baseball trip.

Opening Day details to use now

The Reds' scheduled home opener puts the Cardinals at Cincinnati on March 25. Follow the official schedule information as the trip approaches, especially before settling on an arrival that depends on first pitch.

Our regular house check-in is 4 PM. An arrival on the day of the game depends on how the eventual first-pitch time fits that house arrival. Coming ahead of game day gives people time to unpack and settle into their apartments before the baseball outing.

Most of our groups arrive Thursday or Friday and stay two or three nights. A Thursday opener may call for a different arrival if your group wants that time at the house first. Early check-in is often possible when nobody checks out that morning, while a same-day departure makes it depend on the turnover.

Keep the parade separate until its date is posted

The Findlay Market Opening Day Parade traditionally takes place ahead of the Reds' home opener. Its official site has yet to post a 2027 date or time and tells readers to check back in November. Follow the parade site before adding that outing to the family's visit.

Findlay Market is about 9 minutes away by car from the houses without traffic. That estimate goes to the market. Once parade details appear, use the destination for the outing you actually choose; the market estimate does not tell you where to go along a parade route.

Some relatives may want both parade and baseball, while others prefer one outing. Keep those choices open until the date and first-pitch time are posted. The private apartments give registered family members who stay in somewhere to rest or make a meal during the day.

Choose a house for the baseball group

Use our Cincinnati game weekend lodging page to compare the houses and venue drives for a shared baseball stay. Choose the apartment arrangement with the relatives attending the game and those spending more time at the house.

We would compare the Victorian Estate for a group wanting three apartments under one roof and outdoor dining space, or the two Francis houses for an extended family needing their combined capacity of 42. Neighboring Cincy Historic Gem and the Blue House give that two-house group five apartments to divide among the relatives.

The large-groups sleeping guide covers the floor-by-floor beds and bathrooms for every house. It also explains the queen air mattresses included in the sleeping counts, so the family can choose sleeping places with the full room information. Use that detail when some travelers need a bedroom or would prefer extra space beyond the headcount.

These historic houses are not a fit for guests who cannot manage stairs. Grandparents or other relatives with stair concerns should review the grandparents and stairs guide before a room is chosen for them. It describes the Historic Gem's ground-floor apartment and the exterior steps that still lead to it.

Richard's public review describes access to Reds games during his group's stay in the two Francis houses:

Excellent property for a group trip! The place was clean, spacious, exactly as described, and within walking distance to local coffee shops and a couple of fast food spots. Getting to the Reds, Bengals, and Bearcats games was quick and convenient. The owner was super responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Leave the rest of the stay flexible

A group using several apartments can keep breakfast with the household staying in each one. Every apartment has its own kitchen, so early risers can eat while relatives in another unit have a slower start. Self check-in also allows family members traveling separately to arrive at different times.

For a meal outside the house, our Cincinnati guidebook includes Skyline Chili, Fireside Pizza and Urbana Cafe. Confirm directly with a business when several households want to eat together. The guidebook also covers Eden Park and the Art Museum for relatives who want another Cincinnati outing during the stay.

The Victorian Estate has outdoor dining and seating. If the weather suits a meal outside, the family can choose to use that space, with an indoor meal arrangement for the same guests. Check the dining details for the house when a single table matters; the sleeping count includes several apartments and does not promise everyone a seat at one table.

House parking is another part of the lodging choice. The Historic Gem has driveway parking plus street parking; the Blue House and Victorian Estate use street parking. A van or another large vehicle needs consideration alongside the houses you choose. The stadium trip will also take longer when game-day traffic adds to the usual drive estimate.

Opening Day stay questions

Questions we hear from groups

Is there a first-pitch time to plan our arrival around?

The Reds' March 25, 2027 home opener has a time listed as TBD. House check-in is 4 PM. Keep those two pieces of the day separate until the team posts a start time, or choose to arrive ahead of the game.

What does the labor-agreement expiry mean for the date?

The agreement expires December 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. The 2027 baseball dates are subject to change. Follow official updates before committing to travel that depends on the posted opener.

Has the parade been assigned to the opener's Thursday?

Its 2027 date and time have yet to be posted. The parade traditionally takes place ahead of the Reds' home opener, and its official site says to check back in November. A tradition is enough to keep the outing in mind while you wait for that announcement.

Can some relatives skip the game and share the house stay?

Yes, the whole-house booking is lodging for your registered group, whether each person attends the game or spends that time at the apartment. House rules allow registered guests only, with no parties or events, no pets and no smoking. Quiet hours run from 10 PM to 9 AM, and additional daytime people require advance discussion.

Will the house be ready before we leave for the ballpark?

Standard check-in is 4 PM. An earlier arrival is often possible when nobody leaves that morning; when a group checks out the same day, it depends on turnover. The game's start time also remains pending, so an early house arrival needs confirmation before it becomes part of the plan.

How does a large baseball family book above the platform cap?

Airbnb caps a single booking at 16 even though our houses sleep 20, 22 and 32. The inquiry form handles groups above that cap and stays across multiple houses. Each house page has Airbnb and VRBO links for individual-house bookings.

Send us your possible dates and full overnight guest count, with sleeping needs, vehicle types and any stair, arrival or visitor request. We can compare the houses while you follow the official Opening Day and parade updates.
